2019 Annual Meeting - Verona NY
The New York Association of Independent Adjusters, Inc., held our 79th Annual Convention at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino on September 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th, 2019.
The Turning Stone Resort & Casino is owned and operated by the Oneida Indian Nation (OIN) in Verona, NY.The facility opened on July 20, 1993 and offers golf amenities with both on and off-site golf courses, one of PGA Tour quality and an indoor golf dome, an RV Park, an amusement arcade, many restaurants, spas, Bingo, Keno, table games and many types of reel and video slot machines.The award-winning resort is nestled in the heart of Central New York.The 3,400-acre resort features luxurious hotel accommodations, a full-service spa, gourmet and casual dining options, celebrity entertainment, five diverse golf courses, an exciting nightclub and a world class casino.
On Thursday, September 26th, Convention Registration began at 2:00 pm and at 6:00 we had a Welcome Reception at the Exit 33 Atrium Bar with cocktails and Hors D’oeuvres.
On Friday, September 27th we began with our Liaison Meeting followed by the Golf Event at the beautiful Shenendoah Golf Course. The non-golfers attended a Food & Wine Pairing Event at Exit 33 Tin Rooster.Friday evening we were entertained with live music from Dan Ripley at our Cocktail Party with Hors D’oeuvres & Dinner at Exit 33 The Gig.
Saturday, September 28th we started with our General Membership meeting, followed by 2 Educational Sessions featuring a casualty and a property session, for a total of 2 Educational Credits. Speakers were Lauren Miller, Esq. and Melissa Foti, Esq. of Kenney Shelton Liptak Nowak LLP and Roy Mura, Esq. of Mura & Storm PLLC.
